Kris Kruse, New York Art Collector
"I first came across Louise's paintings in 2012 and was immediately drawn to her work. I've been collecting in New York for 35 years and was taken by her ability to capture the nuances of an image and express a rich depth of feeling. There's always an emotional response with her stuff. I told my friends about her and she promptly sold another 7 paintings. Louise has a unique touch that continues to please with time.”

"Not only is Louise Clarke an extraordinary artist, she's an incredible person. Her artistic talent shines through in every brushstroke of her paintings. Her landscapes are not only expressive, they are magical and make me feel more alive. When I look at Louise's paintings, I am pulled into another world. Her paintings sooth me, inspire me, and take me beyond the everyday."

"In 2016 I attended my first ever art exhibition and I was drawn to a painting, by Louise Clarke, of the Sydney Opera House at night. The painting was, and remains, the most enchanting work of art, reminding me of the excitement of walking towards the Opera House to attend Madama Butterfly on a clear and star filled night. This memory is bought to life every time I admire this beautiful painting."

“I had seen Louise’s earlier work and was particularly captivated by her ability to paint clouds that produced the same wonder in me in front of canvas as they have done on a deserted Northumberland springtime beach. Her attention to detail regarding my painting and communication on framing and timing were perfect. It brings a smile to me each time I see it!”

"I enjoy art but am a complete novice. When I commissioned a piece of work from Louise, with just a vague notion of what I wanted, she held my hand throughout the process. She was able to articulate and bring life to my ideas and deliver a painting of vibrancy and beauty. It was a very collaborative process with draft sketches to confirm the final layout and Louise took time to consider the location the painting would sit in to ensure the proportions and framing were correct for the space. The landscape of sunflowers now sits in pride of place within my home and I look at it every day with joy."

"Whilst having met Louise previously in New York at the wedding of a mutual friend, it wasn't until I took a holiday in Western Australia in 2015 and attended an exhibition Louise was holding at the Houghton Winery Gallery that I realised what a talented artist she is. Wandering among her exhibit I was transported back to many of the places I have been lucky enough to have travelled to over the years. I was particularly taken by a small painting of a cottage on the Isle of Skye, Scotland, somewhere that holds a special place in my heart. This painting has taken pride of place in our home ever since. Louise has a wonderful ability to capture the essence of a location. Whenever I see my 'Louise Clarke original painting' I am taken straight back to the Isle of Skye, a truly happy place for me.”
